Here’s How it Works

To access your TiVo content for playback on your PSP, your TiVo Series2™ must be connected to your home network (connecting it to your PC).

Star Wars - The Force Unleashed Reviewed For the Wii

Well after a short wait I've got my copy of the The Force Unleashed. I've finished it over two days. The Force Unleashed has been released on all platforms, meaning you can get it on the Wii, PS3, Xbox360, PSP, Nintendo DS and for that matter also on the PC. This review will concentrate mainly on the The Force Unleashed for the Wii (but many of the suggestions will be applicable to other platforms). The Wii though has it over other platforms already because of the interactive controls give you the feeling of one with the game - use the Wii Force Son, use the Force ..... seriously though if you want to force push you just push out with the left nunchuck - so much more fun than just pushing a button. Want to swing your light saber - swing the Wii remote.

The story - The Force Unleashed - fits in between episodes 3 & 4 with appearances by Princess Leia (they should have used Carri Fisher's Voice), Bail Organa, Mon Mothma and others. You actually start the main story as Darth Vader fighting the Wookies hunting down more Jedi. You find one and kill him. You then take on his son as your apprentice. Every level is similar - you fight a bunch of enemies and normally end the level with a battle against a "boss", either a Jedi, a Force User, a Rancor or a AT-ST.

PSP Killzone

Once you become Darth Vader's apprentice you assist in locating and wiping out more Jedi. You go to familiar Star War worlds from all 6 episodes. The Emperor discovers Darth Vader has you as his apprentice and is none to please and commands Darth to kill you - which he appears to do.

Vader says he wants you to start a rebellion to keep the Emperor busy. You comply and started building a rebellion. Along the line you learn that Vader killed your Father and you turn to the good side and want to really start a rebellion. This consists of rescuing various senators and destroying some ship yards.

Once you've got the council assembled Vader betrays you again and says the whole thing was an elaborate plan to get rid of the Emperor's enemies and you are disposable as well. You escape, and go on to rescue the council - in the process you fight Vader and then the Emperor. Vader is tough, and the Emperor is insanely tough with a huge repertoire of force powers and he drops explosions of one kind or another and is quicker than you can possibly react - the only way to defeat him is ignore the force powers and just go completely spastic with the light saber - a figure of 8 motion from the wrist on the Wii remote gets some nice saber moves going, if you get to his back go for it as its the best way to weaken him - i.e. a stab in the back. You defeat but decide not to kill him - bad mistake!

You save the council and then ..... die - bit of a let down really and not the traditional way to end the game - but you have to make room for Luke Skywalker and his showdown with Daddy and it wouldn't be good to have you spoil it all by killing Vader and the Emperor right now.

Oh well your corny death inspires the symbol of the rebellion.

The game also comes with a dual option which means you can have fun fighting your mates. One move you must master press the A button and hold the Wii remote horizontal - 9pm-3am to block lightening. Once your enemy stops hit him/her with a blast of force push to punish them for attempting to electrocute you. Once you get past just sapping each other, and learning the blocks, your going to have to learn some kick ass light saber moves to win long term.

The game was excellent in terms of playability, music, sound and graphics. Although some worlds were a bit too dark (lights please). The story was basic and really acts only as a base progressing through the levels. My only complaint was princess Leah's voice sounds crap and nothing like the actors.

If you liked Star Wars - Jedi Outcast, or Stars Wars Jedi Academy - then you are going to like this game.

Sony reveals its new powerful home console NGP (Next Generation Portable) powered by graphics. Next Generation Portable or abbreviated as NGP is the next latest portable gaming console with more interesting features. NGP is the new handheld console with dual analog thumb sticks and stunning 50 inch OLED (Organic Light Emitting Display) high-definition multitouch screen with Approx. 16 million colors. It looks like a PSP and many called it PSP2 but it's not a PSP2. It contrast with Apple's iPhone 4 and seems to be more users friendly.

Unlike Nintendo 3DS, Sony NGP doesn't offer three dimensions views, but it does have two touch screens i.e. Multi-touch 5-inch organic light emitting display as the front display and Multi-touch pad on the rear. Sony affirms that the touch pad on the rear will allow gamers to interact directly with games in three dimensions. The next feature it offers is dual cameras one on the front and the other on rear. Another feature of NGP is Wi-Fi like PSP console of Sony but it added 3G and built in GPS i.e. location tracking technologies. So, now gamers can connect to network outside the hotspots also with this feature. One more feature is the battery life, As NGP prepared up of OLED screen so, should help keep battery life high. Another good thing in NGP is it does not have UMD drive and that's pretty fine because the UMD drive tends to be earsplitting and also adds load to the unit.

Now, If you are concerned about that what you will do with your older games, Don't Worry Sony NGP will play older PSP and little bit of PS2 games too like Killzone, Uncharted, WipEout, LittleBigPlanet, Call of Duty, Hustle Kings and many more. Sony claims you'll be able to monitor the NGP screen clearly from any direction So, this is going to be more exciting. Sony anticipated to make NGP debut at the end of the 2011....We all are waiting for this new console with more excitement.

My 5 Favorite PSP Games

Everyone who's ever played PSP games is passionate about their favorite games. You can tell that just by looking at all the "top 10" lists online.

PSP Killzone

I don't have enough room for a top 10...but I will share with you my personal selection for the best 5 PSP Games. These are not in any particular order, other than they all make the top of my list.

* God of War: Chains of Olympus. As most reviewers have reported, this game almost single-handedly revives and reinvents the 3-D action genre. It features unparalleled presentation and tightly-wound combat. I believe this is the best-looking game created for any hand-held game console.

* Lumines II. I was always a huge Tetris fanatic, which explains why I like this game so much--reminiscent of that classic game. In this one, colored blacks descend from the screen top and you must clear them out by forming various like-colored combinations. It features gorgeous special effects and a great musical soundtrack.

* Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. Yes, the GTA franchise makes its appearance on the PSP. The game allows you to build your crime syndicate while watching over your lovely ladies. While it has some flaws, this game provides a great visceral experience.

* Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. This outstanding entry features gorgeous graphics and unbelievable real-tie battles. It's also a plus that it features cameos by popular characters from Final Fantasy VII.

* Killzone: Liberation. This is a game which totally unshackles the PS2 first-firston shooter experience for the handheld players. Unlike other shooters, it features top-down play, but once you get used to it, it's a blast.

I'm sure that if you try any one of these games, you'll consider it money well-spent.

The Squabble Between PlayStation 3 Vs Xbox 360

If you are a serious console gamer, then you are most likely to choose between these Goliath's of the video game industry. For years, even before either of these were released, biter squabbles raged over which was better, or which had the best games. Today, several years after the release of both, people can't help but discuss which they prefer. I know people that couldn't decide between them, so their answer was to just buy both! But for most people, that is a luxury that they can't afford, bringing us neatly back to our age old squabble, which is better, Sony's PS3 or Microsoft's Xbox 360?

In the following article we will try to compare them in several different categories, whilst trying to remain unbiased. But ultimately only you know which you prefer, so which do you think?

PSP Killzone

So your stuck, you want to buy a games console but you're stuck between buying a PS3 or a Xbox 360. Well let's look at them under certain categories.

Price

Money! Usually the main reason why people choose between the two. The price of both consoles has fluctuated over the years since each came out. Though this has been made a bit more complicated by the fact that you can buy different versions of each, which contain a differing size of hard drives.

Currently here are the versions that you can buy for an approximate price at today's prices;

PS3

160GB..............£196-230. (8-374). (230-270)
320GB..............£240-270. (0-440). (282-318)

Xbox 360

4GB.................£120-180. (5-292). (141-212)
250GB.............£160-190. (0-310). (188-223)

Prices obviously vary from shop to shop, and currency to currency, and you can buy console bundles with certain games included for slightly more. My advice would be to shop around and find the best price/bundle for you!

But what are you paying for?

Graphics

This category is pretty important if your a gamer, and these two next generation consoles don't disappoint. Both offer amazing graphics, often leaving you awestruck at some of the fine detail that you can see in game. But which console has better graphics than the other? Well fanboys from each side will claim that theirs is the best performing. Sony has often been credited as having more superior graphical output, but that is unfortunately not true! But before the 360 fans cheer, neither has the Xbox360. It's pretty much a dead heat in this category. Games developers will testify that the XBox 360's Xenos GPU has more computing power than the PS3's RSX GPU, so therefore it should offer slightly better graphics, but the difference is hardly noticeable and is often affected by other factors. These include the TV that you are playing on and simply the quality of the game that you are playing.

Despite original misconceptions, both consoles tie in this category.

Media

So apart from the obvious games that you can buy and play for the named console, what else can you do with it? Well let's look at each console separately;

PS3 Media

The PS3 offers backwards compatibility with both PSX and PS2 games, allowing gamers to play their old games. The PS3 supports Blu-Ray and DVD, which means that the console can double as a Blu-Ray player allowing you to watch films in full high-definition. You can also listen to your music by playing you're CDs on it. Due to the massive amount of hard drive space available, music, films, photos, etc can all be uploaded and stored for later viewing. The PS3 is online and has an integrated browser, so as long as you have access to broadband connection, you can surf away on most websites on you're tele. And if you own a PSP, it has an interconnectivity feature allowing you to download/upload between the two.

Xbox 360 Media

Well, maybe I should have written about this one first! Additional media isn't the 360's strongest selling point. You can play old Xbox games on the new Xbox 360, but you have to save them to the internal hard drive, which means that you can't just insert the disk and play, as it is not compatible. You can play your CDs on it. When the 360 was originally released, the whole Blu-Ray vs HD DVD was going on, and the 360 plumped for the later. It was a gamble that didn't pay off for them since Blu-Ray won, therefore you can't watch blu-ray films on your 360. But, is that really so much of a problem? You can still watch DVDs on it and the switch over from DVD to Blu-Ray is pretty slow, whilst a blu-Ray film is currently considerably more expensive. The 360 is online but doesn't have an unbuilt browser. It does allow you to chat with your mates on MSN though.

In summary, the PS3 wins hands down in this category. Yes, the PS3 is more expensive, but you get a lot more for your money. You could say that when you buy a PS3, you're getting a free Blu-Ray player included. But then again, if you are just interested in playing games, then maybe the 360 is better for you!

War on the Nintendo Wii

Well the Nintendo Wii was a huge hit that took both Sony and Microsoft a bit off guard. This year is the year of the fight back. The PS3 is launching it's counter with it's new "Move" controller, whilst the Xbox 360 has released the "Kinect". Both offer different solutions and possible developments for unique games.

The "Move" looks basically like a neon microphone that is tracked by the "PlayStation Eye", calculating where it is and translating that movement into the game you are playing. This could be used as anything from a sword to a tennis racket. But if we are honest, it is basically just a trackable Wii controller.

The "Kinect" is an additional box that will sit on top of you're tele and acts as a replacement to a conventional controller. It works by using a camera so the user can interact with the 360 by using gestures and sounds to play the game. Again if we are honest, this is basically a "PlayStation Eye". Microsoft's counter to the Wii is to copy the "Eye"! A lot of people have had negative comments to the Kinect, mainly because of the restrictions that are put upon the user. The user can't sit down, has to be in a well lit room with enough room to be stood at least 6ft from the screen.

So, the PS3s "Move" offers a better alternative to the Wii. This will allow developers to create more Wii like games for the PS3. The "Kinect" allows the user to stand in their living room and flap around like a idiot, all for 100!

Online Gaming

No longer is online gaming solely just for PC gamers. Both of these consoles offer online play for a variety of different games. Just add your friends to your friend list and you can chat and play against them. Both consoles offer the very addictive achievement function, now that Sony followed in Microsoft's footsteps, which allows you to unlock medals/badges by completing certain tasks in game. These achievements are recorded on your online profile and can be showed off to your friends.

The quality of playing online can be a talking point. The PS3 has a reputation for being a bit buggy online, whilst the Xbox 360 has had much better feedback on it's online gaming.

Both Sony and Microsoft offer an online shop, accessible through the consoles interface, to allow games to be downloaded. This also includes other content, including films, game demos, tv shows, themes, wallpaper, photos, comics and much more. The PlayStation Network Store and the XBOX Live Arcade both offer a wide selection to their online content, with an increasing amount of indie games like Braid and PixelJunk. The XBLA tends to offer more classic games to download than the odd PS1 game that the PSN puts up, which is annoying if you like some of the classics of the 90s era. This does seem to be changing slowly, with Sony putting more up every month.

To summarise, the Xbox 360 wins this category. It less buggy online play and it's better back catalogue of games on the XBLA puts it marginally ahead of the PS3.

Games

The most important category of them all! After all you are paying for a console to play games on, so what games are you going to play. More and more games are being produced to be played on both consoles, so the only way to analyse this category is to look at the console exclusive games.

Conclusion

If this article had been written a couple of years ago, the Xbox 360 would have won. But the PS3 looks set to be king of 2011. It is more expensive, but you get a lot more for you're money and the upcoming game releases for this year are so much better. You won't be disappointed with the 360 as it's a great console, but the PS3 has matured and gotten better.

The portable gaming market has moved into it's next phase with the releases of the next generation portable devices, Sony's PSP NGP (PSP 2) and Nintendo's 3DS. These two Goliath's of the handheld gaming world will once again square up against one another to fight it out for your hard earned money.

In the following article we will try to compare both in several different categories, whilst trying to remain unbiased. But ultimately only you know which you prefer, so which is better, the Sony PSP NGP or the Nintendo 3DS?

PSP Killzone

So, you want to buy a brand new handheld gaming device, but you are not sure which one you prefer? Well to help you decide, let's look at the main features of both.

Device

The PSP NGP stands for 'Next Generation Portable', and it certainly takes Sony's PSP device to a whole new level. On first look, the NGP doesn't look that much different to the original, but on closer inspection the NGP has a ton of new features. The glossy OLED 5-inch screen is a full touch screen, capable of handling multi-touch gestures, just like a smart phone. The device has two new touch pads on the back of the console, allowing greater interaction from the user in game. This is complemented by the addition of another analogue stick (now one on either side of the screen) which is much more like the traditional PlayStation controller.

There are now two cameras fully incorporated, one on the front and one on the rear, for taking pictures and use in amazing augmented reality games. Integrated microphone, electronic compass, Bluetooth and 3G compatibility fleshes out the features greatly. And if that is not enough, the whole device has motion sensing incorporated into it, which react when the device is tilted or turned. With all these new features, better processing power for almost PS3 looking games and all the original features of the PSP, such as; Internet browser, PlayStation network (PSN), WiFi. You definitely won't be disappointed with Sony's new PSP NGP.

The Nintendo 3DS is an impressive piece of gaming hardware that builds upon the success of the DS and DSi. Of course the major selling point of the 3DS is it's ability to let users play games in 3D without the need for glasses. This feature can be adjusted with the '3D depth slider', which allows the user to increase or decrease the 3D effect to find a suitable level that is comfortable for your eyes, and the whole effect can also be turned off completely. But this is not the only selling point of this device. The 3DS also incorporates three cameras! One on the front, to let you take photos of yourself without turning the device around, and two on the back, to let you take photos in full 3D.

This 3D function of the cameras will allow the user to experience augmented reality games. For the first time, Nintendo has chosen to incorporate an analogue controller in it's handheld device. This is a much welcome addition, as the D-pad can be a bit awkward to use in certain gaming situations. Full motion controls are built into the system which will react to the motion and tilting of the device, which will allow the user to play games that have these features in them. A new feature called StreetPass allows you to interact with other players as you pass them in the street. The 3DS will exchange data with one another, providing new content or challenges from other players.

Both of these consoles look immense. Each packs a huge amount of features into a device that you can put into your pocket. I would say that the PSP NGP has a better feature set than the 3DS, but Nintendo's gimmick of offering 3D is a major one.

Graphics

Graphic quality has improved exponentially throughout the video gaming industry, and the handheld is no exception. These two next generation devices don't disappoint, with both offering amazing graphics. But which console has better graphics than the other? Well, put simply the NGP! At almost every level the PSP NGP out performs the 3DS. We were all impressed when we saw the 3DS for the first time as it's graphics looked slightly better than the original PSP, but the Next Generation Portable PSP has taken it to a new level by promising to deliver graphics that are on par with early PS3 games! PS3 games in your pocket...WOW! Yes, the Nintendo 3DS offers games in 3D, but when the 3D effect is switched on, the top screen resolution is decreased and the device's frame rate is cut in half. Ultimately, graphics depend on the game that you are playing, which leads us neatly to our next category.

Games

The most important category of them all! After all you are paying for a console to play games on, so what games are you going to play. Both portables are backwards compatible, allowing you to play old PSP games on the NGP and old DS and DSi games on the 3DS. More and more games are being produced to be played on both consoles, so the only way to analyse this category is to look at the console exclusive games.

But if you assume that the NGP games are all released as intended then you would say that that is the most desirable list of titles. Add to that that the NGP may have the ability to play ported versions of PS3 games, then the games look vastly better than the 3DS. Having said that, Nintendo has said that a lot of classic games from the gameboy will be made available.

Ultimately though, this whole category can only be judged on individual taste.

Price

This is a slightly awkward category to write about at this time as both devices are yet to hit the shelves. Because of this these prices are approximate;

Conclusion

These two products will be a must have for any hardcore gamer, but ultimately most people will only buy one out of the two. I have very split opinions over the two handhelds. I believe that Sony's offering is the superior system with a better selection of games, however Nintendo's offering allows users to play 3D games and for a much cheaper price. The 3DS will no doubt sell more units than the NGP, but that doesn't make it better. Ultimately, only you know which you would prefer, so which do you think is better, the Sony PSP NGP (PSP 2) or the Nintendo 3DS?

Here’s How it Works.

It’s easy to place photos on your PSP system!

Attach your PSP to your PC through a USB cable — which will make the PSP an external drive.
You’ll then be able to copy your photos (JPG, TIFF, PNG, GIF, or BMP formats) to your Memory Stick Duo (make sure your Memory Stick Duo is formatted for use on your PSP and that you place your photos in the folder labeled Photo).
You can then go to the Photo icon on the PSP system’s XMB and select the photo that you’d like to view.

You can also beam photos to a friend in the vicinity who has a PSP. Make sure that both of your PSP systems have the Wi-Fi switch set to On.

The photo ‘Receiver’ should go to the Photo icon on the PSP system’s XMB, select the location to save the photo and press .
Select ‘Receive’.
The photo ‘Sender’ should go to the photo to be sent and press .
Select ‘Send’ and press .
The photo will be beamed via Wi-Fi to your friend’s PSP.

Here’s How it Works

To access the Internet on your PSP system, first make sure that you are at an accessible hotspot and that your Wi-Fi switch is set to ON.

If you are at a new location, you’ll want to select the WWW icon on your PSP system’s XMB screen, and then follow instructions to set up a New Connection.
Once you have tested this connection, select the WWW icon from your PSP system’s XMB screen again.
Press and then to access the URL bar, or scroll over to the Bookmarks icon (noted by the ‘heart’ icon) and select a site.
If accessing through the URL bar, after pressing , the on screen keyboard will pop up. Enter the desired website URL and your PSP will connect you to that site. Once the web page is shown, press to hide the toolbar.

LocationFree TV

Connect your compatible TV, DVD player, DVR, Camcorder, or PC to the LocationFree Base Station. Then enjoy your favorite TV shows, movies, created video, and more where and when you want on your PSP — wherever wireless connectivity allows

Here’s How it Works

To connect to your LocationFree TV base station through your PSP, make sure you have installed firmware update 2.80 or later and that your Wi-Fi switch is set to On.

Go to the LocationFree icon underneath the Network icon on your PSP system’s XMB menu. (If you have not set-up a connection yet, your PSP will take you through the process.)
Register your PSP with the LocationFree TV base station by pressing the ‘Setup Mode’ button on the base station.
Select the LocationFree TV icon under the Network icon on the XMB menu and press .
Select a public wireless LAN service (if outside the home) or ‘LocationFree AP’ (if inside the home). Now you can enjoy your favorite TV shows, DVR or DVD content from the road! For further set-up information, go to www.sony.com/locationfree.

Here’s How it Works

To access your TiVo content for playback on your PSP, your TiVo Series2™ must be connected to your home network (connecting it to your PC).
Next, go to www.tivo.com/tivotogo to download the TiVo Desktop Plus software. This will allow your PC to convert the TiVo files to a PSP readable format. TiVo charges a one-time fee of .95 for this service, payable via their website.
When TiVo Desktop Plus has been downloaded, click the box in the ‘Preferences’ menu to ensure files are converted to PSP format.
Transfer the shows you wish onto your PC. The PC will then automatically convert the files into PSP readable files and place in a separate portable downloads folder.
You’ll then need to connect your PSP to your PC via the USB cable — which will turn the PSP into an external drive. Make sure your Memory Stick Duo has been formatted for use on the PSP and that you have updated your PSP system’s firmware to version 2.80 or later. From there, you’ll be able to enjoy your TiVo content on your PSP!

God of War: Ghost of Sparta is a single player action-adventure game for PlayStation Portable (PSP). The second game in the series to be developed specifically for play on the PSP, Ghost of Sparta is set after the events of the original PlayStation 2 game, revealing the previously unknown struggles and history of Kratos as he challenges the deities of Olympus, eventually taking the status and title of god for himself. The game features bigger bosses and more enemies than the previous PSP release, as well as new combat and weapons systems.

The Story of the Making of a God

Set within the shadowy realm of Greek mythology, God of War: Ghost of Sparta allows players to take on the role of the powerful and iconic Spartan warrior Kratos. This new adventure for PSP picks up after the events of the original God of War game for PS2 conclude, telling the story of Kratos' ascension to power as the God of War. Yet this rise is not without its consequences. In his quest to rid himself of the nightmares that haunt him, Kratos must embark on a journey that will reveal the origins of lost worlds, and finally answer long-awaited questions about his dark past. Gameplay

As with all God of War games, Ghost of Sparta is a single player action-adventure game played from the third-person perspective that blends addictive hack and slash and puzzle play gameplay mechanics. Playing as the iconic, rage-driven Spartan warrior, Kratos, players face level after level of challenges illustrating the Ghost of Sparta's (Kratos') rise from uber warrior laboring in the service of the gods, to a god himself, following the defeat of Aries in the first game in the series. In the process, the game reveals secrets of Kratos' past only hinted at in previous games in the series. Gameplay, especially during boss battles and puzzle play events, utilizes the familiar God of War style on-screen button prompts to secure victory and advancement, with successful battles and puzzle challenges framed by stunning in-game cutscenes. The game features a more diverse cast of enemies, as well as bigger, badder bosses to tackle. In addition, along with Kratos' signature chain blade weaponry, Ghost of Sparta also features the ability for Kratos to utilize new weapons. These include: a spear and shield combo, which opens up the ability to combine new offensive and defensive tactics; and the Eye of Atlantis, a electrically charged handheld weapon that allows Kratos to shock enemies from afar and from different positions.

Key Game Features

New Combat and Weapon System - Enhanced melee combat features more in your face action with 'Combat Rush,' which enables Kratos to pummel enemies to the ground as well as throw them, an augmented death system featuring unique weapon and magic specific deaths, as well as a larger variety of combination, finishing and air-to-air combat moves. Players will also have new weapons to wield such as the Spear and Shield with its fully fleshed out combat tree along with new magical powers for more lethal attacks.
Bigger Bosses, More Enemies - Ghost of Sparta boasts bigger and more diverse gameplay than Chains of Olympus. This results in exponentially larger bosses, double the enemies on-screen with more diverse behaviors, and new navigation types all of which add to a more engaging and immersive gameplay experience.
Stunning Visuals - Engine enhancements provide stunning graphics and dramatic camera angles that are coupled with weather effects, depth of field, and higher quality environments to offer visuals that have never been seen before on the PSP system.
Epic Story - Keeping true to the God of War franchise, Ghost of Sparta provides compelling new adventure for Kratos, one that will go deeper into his past that ever before and answer long-awaited questions about the Spartan warrior.

Kratos’ Story
The God of War franchise tells the tragic and violent story of the warrior Kratos and his dealings with the gods. The ancient world would eventually both praise and damn the infamous ‘Ghost of Sparta’ as the mortal who slayed a god, but long before his battle with Ares, Kratos sought absolution from his past sins by pledging himself as a champion to the gods. These brutal crusades in the name of Olympus became legendary, but would have far-reaching consequences. In Chains of Olympus Kratos is pushed to the edge as he is ordered by the gods to journey to the very depths of the underworld after the world plunges into darkness. There he must face the most feared creatures of Greek mythology and is forced to choose between his own personal redemption and saving the ancient world from certain destruction. It is a choice that will shake the immortals from their perches on Mt. Olympus.

God of War's Epic Gameplay Comes to the PSP
PlayStation Portable has always been head and shoulders above its competitors in the handheld market when it comes to processing power, and in God of War: Chains of Olympus the PSP platform may just have reached its highest level to date. Combat Moves, Both Old and New

Although overall the PSP has fewer buttons than the PlayStation 2 controller, developer Ready at Dawn Studios has managed to incorporate nearly all of the attack moves and combination moves from previous games in the series into this new project. This continuity in gameplay not only provides a seamless intro into the game for veteran players, but a gentle learning curve for players new to the series. Add to this new brutal combat moves and an additional upgradable weapon and you have a combat system that will engage players at all levels.

Some may be simple tests at manipulating the game’s environment to your advantage, while others much more difficult also requiring precision timing of moves, but each will be different and test you in new ways.

More than just a missing piece in the history of the God of War franchise, Chains of Olympus also serves as an evolutionary link between the origins of the God of War franchise and its future. Originally developed for PlayStation 2, the future of the franchise is slated to make its arrival on PlayStation 3 in the form of the highly anticipated God of War III in the not too distant future. A thing of beauty is a joy forever -

Somebody rightly said "A thing of beauty lasts forever". That holds good for this awesome little piece of technological marvel.

The moment you open the box, the widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio) stares at you. The PSP does not come with a game. I immediately rushed to a store to buy a game "Need for speed". The graphics are amazing and the game itself is thrilling. The widescreen adds beauty to the games as the racetracks look more original in widescreen.

I have downloaded my home videos shot using Sony HC-42 camcorder. The camcorder shoots in wideangle (16:9). Hence the videos look great on the Sony PSP.

The controls on the PSP are bit funny. For example, to accelerate your car you need to press the down arrow and to brake you need to press the up arrow. Isn't that unconventinal? But I got used to it very soon as my race car was not moving at all when all others sped by!!!

Sony is known for making proprietary items to mint money. They have created this UMD Disc whereas they could have easily supported mini-DVD instead. Don't spend your money on UMD disks. Instead buy a memory stick with good capacity and download games to the stick rather than using the UMD.

PSP is great for viewing photos. But please remember to resize your photos to less than 10% of their original size (if you use a 5 MP or higher camera). This will save valuable space on your memory stick and also display the photos faster on the PSP. If you don't resize them, it takes more than 10 seconds for the system to render the image on screen.

Connecting to internet is not fun. The text editor is very hard to use. Please don't have much expectations on this feature. This feature may be useful if you are playing games with another internet partner but not for anything else.

Please do buy a screen protector as you don't want to spoil this beatiful screen. Even a minor scratch may show up and spoil the fun.

The battery has excellent life (nearly 5 hours) before you need a recharge.

Go ahead and buy the PSP. You won't regret the purchase. I would surely recommend this product for you.

I love my PSP -

I commute into work every morning on the light rail in Portland Oregon. I bought myself a PSP earlier this past spring with the intension of watching my TiVo on it while I'm on the train. So every night, I let the TiVo download to my PC and it's kind of like a PSPcasting.

All of my Season Pass shows like Lost, My name is Earl, ER, Desperate Housewives, Numbers and all of my favorite shows I don't have time for I'm now watching on my PSP. I have a 2 gig memory card that is automatically loaded with my tv programs while I'm asleep and when I wake up in the morning I just pick up my PSP from the dock and go.

I also play video games on it, its great for that too. But I'm watching way more TV on it then playing games.

With out a doubt this is my favorite toy that I've purchase all year long, although it only half over, I don't think I'll be purchasing anything else that comes close to how much I enjoy this thing.

The Karate Kid (2010) on UMD

12-year-old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) could've been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's (Taraji P. Henson) latest career move has landed him in China. Continue the Fight Against the Helghast

Visari, the leader of the Helghast is gone, but the war is far from over. Helghast forces have mounted a devastating counterattack, prompting the ISA (Interplanetary Strategic Alliance) evacuation of planet Helghan. As new Helghast battalions appear, armed with more powerful weapons, ISA forces find themselves outmanned, outgunned and surrounded. Players of Killzone 3 will need to learn more about their enemy and use new tools to continue the fight.

PlayStation Move integration into Killzone 3 is one of these new tools. Although the DualShock 3 controller is of course supported, the two controllers of the PlayStation Move system (Move and Navigational) are also usable at every stage of the game. Use the Motion Controller as a site for your weapon and pointer that changes your view of the horizon onscreen, while the Navigational controller provides movement as well as auto-aiming functionality. The sensitivity of the Move controller can be altered via the game's setting menu. With a subtle gesture the Move Motion controller can also reload a weapon, pick up items and ammo on the battlefield, as well as unleash a brutal melee attack within close range of an enemy. Additional features of the game as a whole include: the ability to carry two primary weapons in addition to your piston and knife, jet pack functionality seen in earlier games, fully destructible environments and online multiplayer support.

Camera Peripheral

The PlayStation Eye camera is an integral part of PlayStation Move experience. The camera tracks the sphere of the Move motion controller in your hands to accurately read your every move. The cornerstone of the PlayStation Move system, the PlayStation Move motion controller combines advanced motion sensors, a dynamic color changing sphere, vibration feedback, and an easy-to-use button interface to provide the ultimate in motion-based gaming. Equipped with a three axis gyroscope, a three axis accelerometer and terrestrial magnetic field sensor, the PlayStation Move motion controller registers your precise movements by noting the angle of the controller in real-time and in 3D space via a constant connection to the PlayStation Eye camera. Highly sensitive movement tracking can be accurately traced back to the game, allowing intuitive gameplay as if the player is within the game. The PlayStation Move also features the familiar PlayStation controller button orientation, for seamless play from the very first use.

Move Navigational Controller

The PlayStation Move Navigation controller is a supplementary controller developed to further expand the experience that PlayStation Move games can offer. It can be used in most PlayStation Move games that require navigating an in-game character as it replicates the control features of the left side of DualShock 3 or Sixaxis wireless controllers into one's PlayStation Move experience. The PlayStation Move Navigation controller adds an analog stick, directional buttons and two face buttons into the PlayStation Move's control scheme. In addition, the Move Navigation controller contains the L1 button, L2 button and L3 button for actions and commands common in advanced gaming.
